Ursprünglich aus Deutschland lebe ich seit 1994 in meiner Wahlheimat Schottland, die mich schon in meiner Jugend begeistert hat. Und diese Begeisterung an meine Gäste weiterzugeben ist mein Hauptanliegen - lebendig, einfühlsam, mit fundiertem Wissen und einer guten Portion Herzblut. Durch mein Studium der Geologie fühle ich mich dabei besonders dem Hochland und dessen einzigartiger Natur verbunden. Aber es ist nicht nur die Geschichte, gerne erzähle ich auch aus erster Hand über das Leben hier am Rande Europas.

Reiseleitung seit 1995, zunächst als Mitglied der Scottish Tourist Guide Assocation, und seit meinem Umzug ins Hochland 2005 mit HOSTGA.

 

Originally from Germany, I have been living in Scotland since 1994. This country has been fascinationg me since my teens - and passing on this fascination to my guests is one of my main concerns as a guide – based on a good mix of enthusiasm and knowledge. Through my background in geology I feel particularly passionate about the Scottish Highlands and their unique natural environment. But it’s not just about history – I thoroughly enjoy telling guests first-hand what it is like to live in this beautiful country on the edge of Europe.

I have been guiding since 1995, initially as a blue badge guide and member of the Scottish Tourist Guide Association, and, since 2005, when I moved to the Highlands, as a member of HOSTGA.
