Robyn Jobson

Robyn Jobson t/a RobbieMac Tours & Ancestry is a popular choice for travel in the Highlands and Far North of Scotland. Our specialty is ancestry research, scenic and historic tours, and clan tours to help you to enjoy Scotland or to 'Walk in the Footsteps of your Ancestors'.

I have loved the Scottish Highlands forever!  A second generation Australian, born into a long line of Scots who maintained the strong traditions and culture of their home, Scotland. My love affair with the ancestral homeland led us to join the 'returning diaspora', in 2003. Having tour guided in Australia and England I then gained my Scottish Tour Guide Green Badge accreditation and later achieved my HOSTGA Scottish Highlands accreditation. I thoroughly enjoy sharing the history and beauty of our dramatic Highlands and far northern Caithnss with our visitors. As a local guide, I offer excellent local knowledge  and accommodation alternatives, which will enhance your experience here.

I also provide shore excursions from cruise ships at Scrabster and Invergordon, step-on coach tours for European companies, driver/ guiding for small groups and individuals (starting points are generally Thurso, Scrabster, Wick, Canisbay, Inverness or as agreed ie in the far north). This is a unique destination and the north a superb area ofScots  heritage and culture, not to forget the mysts, myths and legends of the incoming Vikings!

Standard tours or tours tailored to your specific interests, will enthrall you with our amazing mountains, lochs and glens, dramatic coastlines, unique birdlife and wildlife and the Clan and Viking links to our turbulent Scottish history. I look forward to welcoming you to our dramatic Highlands, and to turning your touring dreams into a reality!
