Raised on the family farm on the West Coast of Scotland, I grew up with a love of the countryside and animals. Arriving in the Highlands in 1984 I started Highland Discovery Tours and since then have enjoyed showing people from all over the world Scotland’s historical landmarks along with special and lesser-known hidden places. As an experienced guide I am keen to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for the Highlands, the rich natural history along with traditional & modern culture. In my spare time I love renovating properties and furniture. I am also learning my most treasured possession – the Great Highland Bagpipe (out of earshot!). I am happy to take walking groups, coach trips, either driving or just guiding and create tailor-made itineraries.
