I moved to the Highlands five years ago, after a decade working overseas, and like nothing better than exporing the castles and unusual places that abound in the local area.  I have a BA in Scottish History, and working towards an MLitt in Highlands & Islands History.  The landscape and history of this part of the world is outstanding, and my tours involve unusual history with  enthusiasm.  Scottish History is my passion, and I am a member of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, the Scottish Womens' History Network, and the Society of Highland & Island Historical Research, where I attend as many talks as possible to enhance my knowledge.
