Paul Eddington

Welcome — I'm Paul Eddington, your Highland guide. I am an independent private tour guide, my business is Ghillie Mor Tours and my own tours are undertaken in luxury SUVs. A native of Edinburgh who has called the Scottish Highlands and islands home for over forty years, I bring a lifetime of experience and passion to every tour I lead. I hold the prestigious Green Badge qualification — awarded with distinction through the University of the Highlands and Islands and the Scottish Tourist Guide Association . I am also a proud member of the Highlands of Scotland Tour Guide Association— the gold standards of professional guiding in Scotland. I am also a graduate of the Edinburgh Whisky Academy, holding diplomas in Single Malt Whisky and Whisky Tasting, making me well placed to bring Scotland's iconic whisky heritage to life for visitors with a taste for the water of life. One of my passions.
With over four decades of public-facing experience — from police service to professional guiding — I pride myself on a warm, engaging and entertaining style that my assessors described as a "natural ability to lead" and a "quiet enthusiasm that will draw people to you." Whether you are planning a one-day excursion or a multi-day journey through the glens, lochs and castles of the Highlands, I bring an extensive collection of stories, local knowledge and cultural insight that turns a sightseeing trip into a truly memorable experience. I am equally at home adapting on the fly to changing conditions — weather, roads, or last-minute itinerary adjustments — ensuring your tour runs seamlessly from start to finish.
