Linda Bruce

Born and raised in Speyside, the heart of Scotland’s malt whisky country, my family heritage spans whisky and the traditional fishing communities of the Moray Firth coast. I’m a whisky insider, having worked in several world-renowned Speyside distilleries, gaining in-depth knowledge of the craft and passion of whisky-making and with a few stories to tell! Et pour les francophones qui partent à la découverte de cette belle région, je parle français.

I hold World Host accreditation for customer service. As well as my on the ground whisky experience I’m qualified in Spirits through the international Wine and Spirit Education Trust, undertaking my studies in French. My background also includes a PhD in French, roles with City of Edinburgh tourism and a main career in the university sector. Now I’ve come home to my roots in Speyside, drawn back by this beautiful region. I love being outdoors, taking photos, delving into the past and exploring family history. A little whisky tasting doesn’t go amiss either.

But most importantly – I love where I live – it’s why I came home. Whether your interest is whisky, family history or stunning landscapes and fascinating history, it’s all here on Speyside. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to share my Speyside with you.
