I have a great interest in the early Celtic peoples of Scotland and that romantic era before the Battle of Culloden when clan chiefs controlled the Highlands. My specialities are castles, battle sites and clan lands. I wrote the guidebook for Dunnottar Castle and the Colin Baxter book on Clans and Tartans. Having spent many years in the Highlands, I now live in the Borders and provide driver/guiding all over Scotland. Winter months are spent arranging holidays for those visiting their clan lands or staying in Scottish castles. I write an occasional blog: Living with Clans and Castles.
